Three scenarios were run: 1) Status Quo, assuming current trends continue into the future, 2) Managed Growth, assuming a fairly aggressive set of policies are enacted to target growth to urban areas and regional growth centers will protected a variety of conservation lands, and 3) Unconstrained growth, relaxing land use regulation and tending towards low-density development patterns. A video flyover is available:
Envision Policies used in this analysis are available as HTML (human readable), XML (Envision input file) and in PDF format (requires Adobe Reader). A Data Dictionary containing descriptions of the data fields used in this analysis is available in HTML format as well as PDF format. A description of the Scenarios is available in PDF Format.
Results are available in ArcGIS compatible data layers. Click here: Status Quo Unconstrained Growth Managed Growth. The maps include the entire Puget Sound and have been packaged as featureclasses in a file geodatabase. The geodatabase and with the associated output are packaged as a single zip archive for each scenario.
Individual results are available by clicking on the links below. Decadal Maps are zip files, Run Summaries are Excel (.xlsx) format). NOTE: Most of these are large (multi-megabyte) files, so they may take a little time to download.
